Granite Tech supports Butte businesses with managed IT, UNIFI360 business phone systems, cybersecurity, and structured cabling, run by a Montana team that already works the I-90 and I-15 corridors. Butte sits on the interstate between our Missoula headquarters and our Bozeman office, and the same team covers Anaconda, Deer Lodge, Dillon, and Whitehall.
Route diagram, not to scale. Help desk work is handled remotely; on-site trips are scheduled by business impact.
Most Butte businesses that call us have three or four of these on their list at once. Tick the ones that sound like your office and the panel builds the short list of Granite Tech services that cover them, with how each one is billed. Bring the list to your discovery call and we will start there.
Nothing checked yet. Pick anything on the left that sounds like your office this week.
A Butte office running on one overworked server and a part-time IT contact has a simple problem: when something breaks, help has to come from somewhere. Our managed IT services are built so most of that help never needs a car. The service desk works your tickets remotely, the monitoring tools watch your network, servers, and workstations around the clock, and a technician is dispatched for the work that has to happen in person, such as hardware swaps, cabling, and network gear.
That matters here. Butte sits at more than a mile of elevation, and winter on Homestake Pass and the I-15 grades can move a site visit by a day. Patching, backup checks, and alerts keep running in the meantime, so the visit is about the hardware, not about finding out what went wrong.
Day-to-day troubleshooting for logins, printers, email, and the line-of-business software your team uses, answered by people in Montana.
Your network and servers are watched 24/7, so a failing drive or a full disk shows up as an alert before it shows up as a closed office.
Every PC patched, inventoried, and protected on a schedule, including the laptops that travel between Butte and a second site.
Accounts, licenses, and mailboxes kept tidy, with backups tested so a ransomware hit or a dead server is a restore, not a rebuild.
Granite Tech grew out of Montana Phone, a business phone company started in 2003, and voice is still the work our team knows best. Southwest Montana businesses tend to have people in more than one place: a main office in Butte, a branch in Anaconda or Dillon, staff on the road between them. Our business phone systems put all of them on UNIFI360, a hosted platform that keeps the same extension and the same main number wherever someone is working.
The system lives in the cloud, not in your back room. If a winter storm knocks out power or the internet at the office, calls reroute to the mobile app or another site instead of ringing into nothing.
Staff answering from a job site, a truck, or a kitchen table show the business number, not a personal cell, and can transfer back to the front desk with one tap.
Team chat, video conferencing, and call routing live in the same platform, so a Butte office and an Anaconda branch work like one front desk.
Smaller Montana offices get targeted for the same reason as large ones: they hold payroll, patient, and customer records, and they often have nobody whose full-time job is security. Our cybersecurity services start with the threats that actually reach a Butte inbox. Email security filters the phishing, endpoint security protects each computer, and security awareness training teaches staff what a fake invoice or a spoofed login page looks like.
When an insurer, auditor, or board starts asking questions, a Healthy Business Security Review gives you written answers: what is protected, where the gaps are, and what to fix first. Healthcare offices across the region get HIPAA-aware managed IT and phone systems that protect patient calls, and our healthcare IT clients include Community Hospital of Anaconda, just west of Butte.
A Granite Tech client in Butte’s neighboring county. Healthcare work in this region means EHR integration support, patient-call privacy on the phone system, and networks that cannot go down during a shift.
Suspicious mail filtered before it reaches staff.
Written findings for insurers, auditors, and boards.
A lot of Butte business space is in Uptown, in brick and stone buildings that are a century old or more. Those walls are thick, ceilings are often plaster, and there is rarely a clean path from the basement to the third floor. That changes how a network gets built: Wi-Fi access points go room by room instead of one per floor, cable runs follow existing chases or surface raceway, and the closet ends up where the building allows it, not where a drawing says it should be.
Newer commercial space along Harrison Avenue and out on the Flats is easier to wire but brings its own jobs: a second building on the same lot, an industrial yard with a shop and an office, cameras on a parking area. Distance between buildings is where fiber earns its place, because copper network cable tops out at about 100 meters. Our structured cabling crew handles voice and data cabling, fiber, security cameras, and door access control as one project.
A walk-through of the building: walls, ceilings, existing cable, and where people actually sit.
Drop counts, pathways, closet location, and access point placement, written into the proposal.
Gear configured and tested before it reaches your office, so install day is about installing.
Cable pulled, terminated, tested, and labeled, then cleanup and documentation you can hand to the next tenant.
We work across Butte, from Uptown and the Montana Street corridor down to Harrison Avenue and the Flats, and out along the interstates to the communities that do business with Butte every day.
Uptown offices, Harrison Avenue retail and medical space, and industrial sites around town. Main line 406-505-5061.
Managed IT and phones for Anaconda offices, including Community Hospital of Anaconda.

Boulder and the rest of Butte-Silver Bow County are covered too. Heading north on I-15 toward the capital? Our Helena service area picks up from there.
Phones, IT, security, and cabling from one company means one call when something breaks and no vendors pointing at each other. If you don’t need it, we’ll tell you.
The Granite team covers Butte along with the Greater Missoula Valley, Helena, and Great Falls. Bailey is your first contact for every phone and IT conversation.
Meet BaileyButte is a Granite Tech service area rather than a storefront. Most support happens remotely through the service desk, and technicians are dispatched for hardware, cabling, and network work, scheduled by business impact. Our Missoula headquarters and Bozeman office sit on I-90 on either side of Butte, and the main line is 406-505-5061.
Anaconda, Deer Lodge, Dillon, Whitehall, and Boulder, plus the rest of Butte-Silver Bow County. Our team travels the I-90 and I-15 corridors, so the same people who support Butte handle managed IT, phones, and cabling in those towns.
New inquiries get a response within one business day. Managed IT clients are monitored 24/7, most tickets are worked remotely, and on-site visits follow the response targets in your service agreement. If something is down right now, call 406-505-5061 for triage.
Yes. Every cabling job starts with a walk-through, because brick walls, plaster ceilings, and missing chases decide where cable can run and where Wi-Fi access points need to go. The plan, drop count, and pathways are written into the proposal before any work starts.
Managed IT is priced per user, business phone systems per phone or seat, and cabling per project. A 30 to 45 minute discovery call gives us enough to write a proposal with scope, pricing, and timelines.
Tell us a little about your business and what you need. A Granite Tech team member will follow up within one business day.

Phones that ring on the road, IT that someone actually watches, a building that needs wiring: bring whatever you checked above to a short discovery call. A written proposal follows if there is a fit, and a straight answer if there is not.
